Text messaging has become a widely popular form of communicating via the cell phone. Teens can talk to their friends by easily typing in a message. Short codes and texting lingo are used to keep messages short and simple.

Cell phone companies have been including text messaging options in cell phone plans for years now. As the trend becomes more popular, updated cell phones are being added to the market that allow users more ease in typing in a text message.

Generation Wireless, as teens are commonly being referred to now a days, have been a digital demo since birth. Getting a cell phone is the transcendence from child to adult for many teens. The top reason teens site for getting a cell phone is safety. Parents are more apt to give their children cell phones because it allows them to “keep tabs” on them as often as possible without seeming too over-protective.

As generation wireless grows up, will they pull back from their cell phone usage? Not likely. Cell phones are essential to a demographic that stays connected to family and friends at all times. It will really be amazing to watch this generation grow up. It will be a mix between ruling the world and texting on their cell phones, not necessarily in that order.
