Text Messages Sent per Day Reach 99 Million in England
The UK’s mobile phone users sent 2.7 billion text messages in February, according to the latest figures.
The Mobile Data Association revealed that last month person-to-person texts sent across the UK increased by 26 per cent compared to the same period in 2005.
According to the MDA, approximately 99 million text messages were sent each day in February.
On Valentine’s Day 120 million texts were sent.
The highest ever total of text messages sent in a month was 3.113 billion in December 2005.
