Text Message Advertising Biggest in Spain


In a recent study by eMarketer, a sizeable number of people are responding to text message advertising. This is normally done through the use of short codes contained within the advertising.

Spain tops the list with 29% of its citizens having responded to a short code placed in an advertisement. The UK was second with 18.5% of its citizens having participated in text message advertising. The US remains behind the rest of the world with just less than 10% of its citizens having responded to an advertisement using a short code.
