Electronic Policy Threatens Student Freedom
Ever sent a funny or gross picture or text message? Well one school in the Philadelphia area is taking control of the situation. Due to changing technologies, Cabrini College is enforcing their new “Electronic Harassment Policy.” That means anything found “offensive” to a student can be reported and have actions taken against the person sending the item. These outlets include: e-mail, text messaging, picture messaging, instant messaging, and anything else electronically dispatched. Kind of crazy when you think about it, but I guess it’s all in the nature of the student’s safety.
