Parents invade privacy of text messages

By Ashley Randazzo

Now, as 21 year old college student I remember times where my mother would purposely pry into my life as a teenager and view some personal things like my journal, e-mails, and even text messages. I remember I got smart and would lock my cell phone so she couldn’t get into my personal business. I realize that text messages can be as personal as a written letter, and also have the same effectiveness on the reader, depending on the information.

Privacy is always an issue with teenagers. Sometimes text messages when seen by the wrong person can have long-term effects.
