NCAA Bans Text Messages to Recruits
Yesterday, the NCAA’s board of directors approved a ban on all text messages from coaches to recruits beginning in in August.
The board approved the ban by a 13-3 vote. The ban doesn’t just stop with text message alerts. It also includes video phones, video conferencing, and message boards on social networking sites like Facebook.
Emails and faxes are still permissable and subject to current NCAA guidelines, but what high school student looks at his emails any more? Clearly, text messaging was the superior way to reach top high school athletes and the savvy coaches chose to speak to their recruits through the means where students are most comfortable–text messages.

Hi, Added a new value add to my blog this weekend - a news widget from http://www.widgetmate.com. I always wanted to show latest news for my keywords in my sidebar. It was very easy with this widget. Just a small copy paste and it was done. Great indeed.
