Text Shame Becomes a New Buzz Word

According to the October, 2007 issue of Playboy, Samsung did a study of “text shame.” Text shame is the newly-coined term that describes if a woman later regrets having sent a text message the previous night. According to the Samsung study, 39% of those American women studied have experienced text shame.
My question is: why did Samsung, which makes money off of its text-friendly cell phones, want to do a study that may reduce future female drunken texting?
