SEO Expert Needed

I read a lot of articles on the internet.  That’s just my personality.  I keep a laptop in front of the television every night and read while watching television.  One of my passions, in addition to the Phillies of course, is search engine optimization.

SEO is an extremely interesting topic.  It’s mostly common sense, but it does require a lot of keeping up with what’s going on in the industry.  Testing is critical to SEO success, because it’s not like Google is going to print a book about how to best optimize your web site!  That’s where you need an SEO expert.  Unless you’re willing to keep up with about two hours of reading about the topic every day, you can’t possibly be expert enough to do all that is needed to optimize your web site for the search engines.

The first step in SEO is finding the best keywords to target.  These are words that potential customers will search for when they go to the search engines to find your product.  But, not all keywords are the same.  Take the topic of this blog, for example, mobile marketing.  If you search for mobile marketing, you will not only find companies that do text message promotions, but you’ll also find those trucks with billboards on them that drive up and down the Las Vegas Strip!

SEO involves writing the best copy for the search engines to find you, including using the correct keyword density in the web site copy.  It’s a fine line, however, between optimizing the use of your targeted keywords and “keyword stuffing” where Google will actually punish you for over-doing it.  That’s where utilizing SEO experts like the guys at SEOExperts.us can really help.

A recent article that I read online (of course) said that 85% of all search engine marketing budgets are spent on pay per clicks as opposed to search engine marketing, yet 75% of all searchers choose the organic listings.  So, why the disparity?  It’s mostly that SEO can be overwhelming to the web site owner so they tend to take the easy way out and just pay for their advertising where their results are pretty much guaranteed.  Also, proper SEO takes time to show real results and many business owners want immediate gratification.
