Mobile Phones “At All Times”
Nearly 60% of mobile phone users say they carry their cell phones with them “at all times.”
This includes inside their own homes thus making the future of landlines in question, according to a study by Knowledge Networks.
The study showed that 13% of mobile phone users access the internet via their mobile phone.
61% of Generation Y consumers say that the more features on the cell phone, the better. This is as opposed to 27% of Baby Boomers who prefer a feature-laden cell phone.
Members of Generation Y (age 13-29) consumers say that they send an average of 20 text messages per day. This compares to just 2 for Generation Y (age 30-43) and 1 text message per day for Baby Boomers (44-64).
