Mobile Marketing Moving on Up
Mobile marketing is moving up the ladder as a viable marketing tool for advertisers.
While mobile marketing only makes up 1.8% of overall marketing budgets, it is up 26% over last year, according to a study conducted by Peter Johnson. The increase in mobile marketing budgets is even more significant when you consider that overall marketing budgets for 2009 are showing a 7% drop!
According to the study, mobile marketing will reach $1.7 billion in 2009 and will increase to $2.16 billion in 2010.
One of the factors leading to the increase is that 18 million Americans now have access to the mobile web, according to another study by NetPop.
