Yankees All-Time Hit Leader Prefers Text Messages
When Derek Jeter became the all-time Yankee hits leader on Sunday, his ex-manager Joe Torre said
congratulations…by text message.
Jeter broke the long-standing hits record held by The Iron Horse, Lou Gehrig. Gehrig held the Yankees hits record for 72 years.
“I communicated with him, I didn’t call him,” said Torre. ”I texted him. That’s his favorite thing.”
Jeter, the Yankee captain, was chosen baseball’s hottest looking player in a recent blog article.
Congratulations to Derek Jeter and Keep On Textin’ Derek.
