Working Moms Are the Mobile Power Users in The US
A new study shows working moms are some of the US’s highest spenders on cell phone services. This could upset the stereotype about men being the big technology spenders.
The average cell phone bill for a working mom is 21% higher than that of the average mobile user, topping out at $94 a month. These women are also 42% more likely to download content to their phone than the average cell phone user.
The Working Mom demographic was defined as women who have at least one child in the household and who have a full-time job. It seems working moms may be more receptive to mobile marketing than other consumers (Scarborough Research).
The report also explains that working moms are described as more likely than other consumers to have high-tech items in the home and to be the driving force to upgrading that technology.
