Virgin Announces Holiday Text Message Use
Virgin Mobile says that 225 million text messages will be sent on its network on New Year’s Eve in Canada. The biggest texters were those aged 18-30 who sent an average of eight text messages each at the turn of the decade.
Chris Baines, a spokesman for Virgin Mobile, said that the second biggest day of the year for text messages is Christmas Day with 200 million text messages being sent across Canada.
Editor’s Note — No word on the amount of text messages that are sexting messages on New Year’s Eve, but I’m guessing it was pretty high.
