More Celebs Join Haiti Text Message Cause
Morgan Freeman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Tim McGraw, Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep and Reese Witherspoon join the Ad Council and American Red Cross to launch this public service announcement to Support Victims of the Earthquake in Haiti.
Americans have poured over $30 million into a text message donation program for the victims of the Haiti earthquake. It is, by far, the single biggest use of text message premium SMS for non-profit organizations.
Moreover, President Obama has now signed a bill that was unanimously approved in the House and Senate to provide tax relief in 2009 for all text message donations to Haiti made by Americans in 2010.
