Premium MMS
While attending the Search Engine Strategies Show in Chicago in December, I purchased a book called
Autumn in Switzerland
“Mobile Marketing” by Alex Michael and Ben Salter.
The book was informative, but having been published in 2006, it was somewhat outdated. It did, however, give me a good overview of what the marketplace looked like five years ago, especially the marketplace in Europe.
One interesting fact from page 33 of the book is that “premium MMS is offered in Belgium, Poland, Switzerland, and the Scandinavian countries.”
Advanced Telecom Services has been offering premium SMS for many years, but premium MMS is not an option in the North American market.
