Google’s Android Showing Growth
Blackberry is still the leader when it comes to sales of SmartPhones, but Google Adroid is showing impressive growth in the US mobile platform marketplace.

Android phones are hot sellers.
ComScore’s February, 2010, study of SmartPhone users in the USA show the following market share:
- BlackBerry RIM — 42.1%
- Apple iPhone — 25.4
- Microsoft — 15.1
- Google Android — 9.0
- Palm — 5.4
The marketplace for SmartPhones doesn’t stand still. In just three months, the Android platform grew from a 3.8% market share to 9.0%. In the same time period, the big loser was Microsoft which saw its market share drop 4.0%. Microsoft hopes that the introduction of two new phones will help it out of the doldrums. Palm continues its decline from 7.2% to 5.4% market share.
