Average Number of Apps Per SmartPhone User

SmartPhone owners are downloading more apps than ever before, according to Nielsen.

Of those who have downloaded at least one app in the past 30 days, the average number of apps they have on their phone has increased to 27 in August.  That’s up from 22 just 9 months ago.

Apps by Type of Cell Phone

• iPhone = 40 apps
• Android = 25 apps
• Blackberry = 14 apps

Facebook is the most popular app across all three of the major cell phones.
