Mobile Advertising Hits $3.5 Billion

Worldwide mobile advertising revenues will reach $3.5 billion this year (2010), according to research firm Informa Telecoms & Media.  Growth is anticipated to reach a whopping $24 billion in 2015.

US mobile advertising spending will rise by nearly 4 times over the next four years according to a study by eMarketer (September 2010).

2009 -  $416 million
2010 -  $743 million
2011 - $1.1 billion
2012 - $1.5 billion
2013 - $2.0 billion
2014 - $2.5 billion

United States — 17%
Canada — 12%
United Kingdom — 12%
France — 11%
Germany — 12%
Italy — 28%

Small Business Owners Love Their Smartphones

While just 17% of Americans use a Smartphone, a whopping 49% of small business owners do, according to a new study from Forrester Research.
Of the phones carried by small business owners, Blackberry is king.

Blackberry — 35.2%
iPhone — 32.5%
Android — 25.0%
Windows — 7.3%

The Android smartphones are showing exceptional growth.
