It should not surprise anybody that the most popular searches being done on the local mobile internet are the following:
Directories — 42%
Maps — 41%
Restaurants — 37%
Movies — 30%

Internet directories are not what they used to be. It used to be that all you needed to do to get higher rankings on the search engines was to get a bunch of links from other web sites. Quantity was more important than quality.
